My First Post!

After seeing some blogs of people I know I have decided to enter the blog world myself. It started out very slow, but I've gradually been figuring it out... Well, this summer has been interesting. My parents (Dad in particular) tried to convince us to come to colorado for work this summer and live with them. I didn't really think it was going to happen until my Dad told us about some great job opportunities for Darren. One job paid almost $18 an hour and the other $13 an hour. Either way we thought it was a great deal. So here we are! The higher paying job didn't work out, but the $13/hr job did. It has been a great summer job for Darren. He was even fortunate to work a few days at a government job in Denver which paid a whole lot more. The job has mostly involved testing/fixing fire alarms. He has enjoyed the job, but informed me that he doesn't want to do it forever. We are looking forward to his last day of work and are excited for the upcoming changes of going back home, moving, and going to new schools. It has been nice to spend time with my family and be in Colorado. Darren and I have tried to spend some time outdoors and enjoy the short time we have with the mountains. Hiking has particularly been a must for me. Darren prefers running and we try to compromise. :) During the week of the 4th of July we went to Frisco with my family. Darren got to see a real big fireworks show for the first time. He's had a lot of "firsts" since we got married. For example, earlier in the summer Darren tried his first real s'more haha. I love you Darren!
