The babies have arrived!!! Monday we drove up to visit Duane and Kristy. We planned to relax and hang out with them this week. Plans dramatically changed on tuesday. Kristy had a doctor's appointment that morning. We all went, me hoping to be able to see an ultrasound of her twin boys. She had changed doctors so this was the first time she saw this doctor. During the appointment she asked the doctor about what she thought to be normal braxton-hicks contractions. It turns out she was 6cm dillated. What!? The weird thing is Darren had jokingly made a comment to me about, what if she went into labor today? The doctor immediately called the ambulence. Duane and Kristy were planning for a February delivery...so this was a bit shocking. Krsity was 29 weeks pregnant. Even after given magnesium to slow the process, Kristy continued to dillate. At 8cm they decided it would be best to take the babies out via cesarean. Being so early, they have to stay in the NICU for at least 6 weeks. Before they took the babies to the other hospital they let us see them. Here are some pictures I took with my phone...

Taylor Dean Britt: 3 lbs 2 oz, 15.75 in.
Tyler Allen Britt: 2 lbs 14 oz, 15.5 in.
The boys are doing well! Taylor is off the ventilator and breathing on his own. Tyler is still on a ventilator but should be off of it soon.
